I totally respect what you're saying. You are right in that, "Religion is not supposed to be some kind of mass organization." Unfortunately for a lot of people religion has become too much of a ritual. The Catholic faith focuses too much on the traditions and ceremonies and has strayed away from what religion was origionally meant to be.
You are also right in that, "Religion and spirituality is for the individual, you develop your own way to be a good person." Religion is a very personal thing, and for each person it is a little different. The idea behind a church is so that people with similar beliefs can come together and talk about them.
Religion is not something that should be forced on anyone. And children in a religious household shouldn't be threatened (in some sort of way) to conform to them.
Unfortunately you are right in that for some people religion has become too much of a formality. But for most, religion is not a set of rules, or a way in which you must live your life. It is an encouragement to do your best in everything you do, always put others before yourself, and have accountability for all of your actions.
